Preview features available in Sandbox tenants

This section lists the features currently available ONLY on the Ivanti Neurons for MDM sandbox instance. The Ivanti Neurons for MDM sandbox instances are available to Enterprise Users by default. You can access these features from the N-MDM sandbox instance and provide any feedback you have about such features.

Release - R126

Added new Device Details fields for Apple devices

Added new Device Details fields to provide greater visibility into Apple Device Management states. Administrators can now view the following information:

  • Multi-User Mode (iOS 27.0+): Indicates whether an iPad is configured as a shared device or uses multi-user mode.

  • MDM Enrollment Type (iOS 27.0+, macOS 27.0+, tvOS 27.0+, visionOS 27.0+, and watchOS 27.0+): Indicates the device enrollment type.

  • MDM Return to Service with app preservation (iOS 27.0+ and visionOS 27.0+): Indicates the device status for MDM return to service with app preservation.

These fields help administrators review device configuration, enrollment, and management information directly from the Device Details page.

Support for DDM Device System Health Status

Added support for DDM Device System Health Status on the Device Details page, providing visibility into the overall system health reported by supervised devices through Declarative Device Management (DDM). Administrators can view this status under the Device Component Health section (iOS 27.0+ and macOS 27.0+).

This section provides the following hardware health details for supervised devices:

  • Baseband: Indicates the health status of the device baseband.

  • Camera: Indicates the health status of the device camera.

  • Display: Indicates the health status of the device display.

  • Face ID: Indicates the health status of Face ID.

  • Near Field Communication (NFC): Indicates the health status of NFC functionality.

  • Touch ID: Indicates the health status of Touch ID.

  • Ultra Wideband: Indicates the health status of Ultra Wideband functionality.

Support for App Privacy Defaults Configuration

Administrators can now configure App Privacy Defaults for one or more apps using Apple Declarative Device Management (DDM). This feature allows administrators to define default privacy permissions for supported components such as Camera, Microphone, Location, Bluetooth, and Local Network access (iOS 27.0+, and iPadOS 27.0+ supervised devices).

Administrators can identify the privacy components used by an app, add the app and its components to a configuration, and set privacy defaults. At first launch, users are shown a single consent prompt to allow or defer the recommended permissions, and they can change them later in device settings.

The App Privacy Defaults configuration is currently not supported on 'macOS 27.0+ supervised devices' due to a known issue. While macOS devices are displayed as supported in the configuration UI, the configured privacy defaults are not applied.

New Skip Keys for Device Enrollment Profiles

Added support for the following skip keys when creating Device Enrollment profiles:

  • Skip Liquid Glass Pane (iOS 27.0+ and macOS 27.0+)

  • Skip Accessibility Appearance Pane (iOS 27.0+)

These skip keys allow administrators to hide specific setup panes during device enrollment, helping streamline the enrollment experience.

Updates to Apple Restrictions Configuration

Added support for the following restriction settings in Apple Restrictions configuration:

  • Enable Captive Wi-Fi Portal for Login and Unlock (macOS 27.0+ supervised devices): Allows use of a captive Wi-Fi portal at login or unlock.

  • Enable Wi-Fi Network Selection for Login and Unlock (macOS 27.0+ supervised devices): Allows selection of Wi-Fi networks at login or unlock.

Support for the following existing restrictions has also been extended to visionOS 27.0+:

  • Allow Modifying Bluetooth Settings

  • Allow Use of iMessage

The following restrictions are no longer available on 27.0+ devices:

  • Allow Background Security Improvements Installation

  • Allow Background Security Improvements Removal

  • Software Update Delay (Days)

  • Delay Software Updates

  • Delay Major OS Software Updates

  • Delay Minor OS Software Updates

  • Delay App Software Updates

  • Allow Force Delay App Software Updates
